In Rio De Janeiro, the legislative assembly voted to open impeachment proceedings agaist the Governor, Wilson Wiltzel for alleged corruption in the Northern state of Para.

The Federal police also raided offices and the home of Governor Helder Barbalho.

Both Governors deny any wrongdoing and both have clashed with President Jair Bolsonaro over his handling of the pandemic and his opposition to introducing lock-downs.
