Governor Dapo Abiodun has promised to alleviate the suffering being experienced by the relations of the fallen soldiers who lost to make Nigeria a united nation.
Governor Abiodun made the promise this Tuesday during the launching of the 2020 armed forces remembrance day emblem done by the state chapter of nigerian legion led by its chairman, Comrade Taofeek Oloyede at oke mosan in Abeokuta.
The Governor described the soldier as an important factor due to their determination in sacrificing their lives to achieve stability in the country.
While appreciating men and women that have served the nation and those that have put their future on the line to secure the nation’s territory, Governor Abiodun assured that the current administration would continue to support and celebrate them.
The Governor therefore enjoined Nigerians to give when of Nigerian Army the expected respect they deserve in appreciation of their efforts in making the nation habitable.
Earlier, the leader of the team, Comrade Taofeek Oloyede called on the Governor to assist the veteran’s in living a better life having sacrificed their lives to unite the nation.
Governor Abiodun later donated a sum of 10 million naira, a bus, a patrol vehicle and motorcycle to the group in order to ameliorate their suffering.
