The Ogun State Government is to commence the registration of residents to aid planning and security for the people and their businesses in the State.
Governor Dapo Abiodun made this known at the stakeholder’s dinner organized by the Ogun State Security Trust Fund Board.
The Governor explained that the registration will also help in monitoring the number of people in the State adding that Lagos, Oyo and Ogun State have agreed to set up a joint security patrol system named Amotekun involving all security agencies and the local hunters through the assistance of development agenda for western Nigeria, DAWN.
The three States will provide the security apparatus the needed tools to fortify security in the western region.
While calling on the stakeholders and the individuals to support the Security Trust Funds Financially, He said the Building the future of the State together’’ should be a collective responsibility.
