Text books and other instructional materials will be provided to complement teaching in public schools in Ogun State.
This is aimed at helping students come cut in flying colors in their internal and external examinations.
The special adviser to the Governor on primary, secondary and technical education, Mrs Ronke Soyombo stated this during a visit to some schools in Abeokuta.
Mrs Soyombo also implored parents to allow their wards, ample time to study and ensure that they are regularly monitored.
While urging the students to put in, their best in academic pursuit, the special adviser said that the current administration will provide all that it takes to achieve academic excellence in public schools.
And, contrary to speculations, that the Akin Ogunpola Model College, Akinale in the Ewekoro Local Government has been shut, the students at the school have resumed for the new academic session.
The Management Staff of the Ministry of Education Science and Technology led by the Permanent Secretary Mr Olu Aikinola, visited the college on Monday to ensure that the students were comfortable as they settled down for school work which began with the welcome back test.
