Ogun State House of Assembly begins sitting on the Moshood Abiola University of Science and Technology amendment bill 2017

The Moshood Abiola University of Science and Technology amendment bill 2017 is intended to give smooth take off to the Ogun State Polytechnic as well as the Science and Technology University.

The bill is also expected to settle the crisis arising from the emergence of the two tertiary institutions.

All these came to the fore on Tuesday at the second reading of the bill.

According to the various lawmakers who contributed during the reading, the bill seeks to enable MAPOLY to continue to run it’s programms just as it clarifies the position of the other institution.

The bill was later committed to further deliberations by the House Committee on Education, Science and Technology.

The reading of the bill was moved by the majority leader Assemblyman Yussuf Sheriff while Speaker Olakunle Oluomo presided at the days plenary.
