As part of the efforts of the current administration in promoting agriculture which is one of the sources of living in the state, The government has expressed determination to build an organised cattle rearing ranches and world class abattoir.
Governor Dapo Abiodun who made this known this Wednesday while playing host to the management of Irish diary milk from Ireland at Oke-mosan said the ranches and the abattoir will be owned and managed by private operators which will also serve the neighbouring state’s will help in increasing the state’s internally generated revenue.
He added that the state government will also promote livestock business by building standard poultry in order to create jobs and empower the youths as part of its mantra of building the future of the state together through creation of jobs.
In achieving this, Mr Governor explained that the state investment promotion agency to be backed by relevant laws from the state assembly will soon be established.
He commended the management of the company for their willingness to partner the government in its vision assuring that all needed assistance will be provided in ensuring that the visit turn to reality.
Earlier, The management of the company led by its chief executive officer, Mr Samir Boudjada said the company decided to invest in the state to expand its presence in other African Countries to Nigeria.
Mr Boudjada informed that the company specialized in the manufacturing of creamy and milk when take-off will create jobs for the people of the state and also increase export trade.
