Radio has been described as powerful medium which facilitates positive change in the society.
The chairman at the launching of a Yoruba radio drama series entitled “JOLOKOTO” which literarily means the mirror of life, Professor Barclays’s Foubiri Ayakoroma held at jogor event centre, liberty road, Ibadan Stated this.
According to him, Programing is fundamental for the survival of any radio station, adding that the title of the drama is APT, as it represents characters of daily occurrences.
According to Professor Atakoroma, radio listenership is determined by how entertaining the programmes are, adding that radio programing I well deployed helps reposition the society.
Earlier, The playwright of the Yoruba radio series drama and the resident representative, population media centre, Nigeria, The producer of the drama, Mr Ephraim Okon explained that the 120 episode radio series drama is meant to among other things address social norms that contribute to Nigeria population growth.
According to him, The drama is being broadcast by 16 radio station including OGBC.
The General Manager of OGBC, Mr Diji Akinhanmi and the Assistant General Manager, Programmes Services, Mrs Toyin Sogbesan were at the launching of the radio drama series.
