Housing deficit is a major national challenge that government must demonstrate the political will to proffer solution to.

To this end,the Ogun State Property and investment Corporation (OPIC) has been told to provide appropriate template that would assist the current administration achieve its set goals in this direction.

The Ogun State government Deputy Governor Engineer Noimot Salako-Oyedele stated this while playing host to the management team of OPIC at her Okemosan office.

Accordinto the Deputy Governor, affordable housing is one of the mission statement of Governor Dapo Abiodun led administration, adding that government would be evolving Public/Private Partnerships to develop the sector.

Earlier,the Acting Managing Director of OPIC Mrs Ibiyemi Adesoye, said the Corporation has a core mandate to establish residential and industrial estates as well as provide infrastructure in all the facilities among others

According to the OPIC boss, the Corporation owns and manages estates and new towns such as;OPIC estate Agbara/Igbesa,Isheri,New Makun City,Orange Valley and Commercial buildings including OPIC plaza,lkeja Lagos and OPIC towers,Oke-llewo Abeokuta.
